filmed half of my intro to "satan's house of yoga" yesterday. this half was the zombie attack, complete with a guy who shoots himself, and then the zombie girls eat his brains off the wall.
OK OK. PRETTY GOOD. ALTHOUGH, IF I MAY SPEAK FREELY AS A "MAKE-UP" ARTIST. THE MAKE-UP IS WAY TO WHITE. IT LOOKS REALLY GOOD THOUGH. JUST MY OPINION. I'M SURE IT LOOKS FAB ON DRABBY GRAINY FILM. I WANT TO CHAT WITH YOU AGAIN AND GET TOGETHER. GIMMIE A CALL TODAY AT WORK. K?
yeah yeah yeah yeah. it's your fault for waiting till last wednesday to call me. geek.
seriously, i did ask for a more striking, theatrical skeleton type makeup. the zombies all appear in quick shots and come from the shadows, so i wanted to make sure when people DID see them, they made that mental connection right away that this was an undead sum-bitch.
oddly enough, i sent the director pics of the zombie girls and he hasn't responded. i hope he hates it. he smells.
Ha! That pic is fantastic! I've dabbled in "make-up" myself. It makes me think of New Orleans voodoo skull-esque type stuff. Know what I mean? I like it. :) With that explaination gonzo, I get where you're going with it and it seems like a good idea.
thanks! i was apprehensive about EVER doing anything zombie-ish because i have respect for fans of the genre and i know they like their zombies a certain way.
glad you caught the voodoo influence. we love 'serpent and the rainbow'!
Always, always, always do something different with zombies! :) Don't get me wrong, I love a "classic" zombie. While I also know that fans are very senestive about their zombies, I personally like a wide range of them. So, the more original a film, the more likely I am to enjoy it. Actually...I just watched this french film the other day--They Came Back (Les Revenants)--defifitely not your typical zombies, but what a fantastic film. So, yeah, there you go. The sub-genre desperately needs orginiality. I love Romero, but I love breaking his mold even better,
Gonzoriffic made its way to the web in 1998 after three measly issues as a paper zine and went on to become a recognized resource for articles on cult, skinemax, horror and microcinema.
